- Missions received on short notice that pay particularly well. The mission will disappear once completed. Starting another mission or disbanding the party will also remove it.
Urgent missions are special missions that may appear after clearing an open mission or another urgent mission in multi mode. They are the equivalent to Phantasy Star Universe's rare missions. Urgent missions provide the party with triple drop rates, have rare creatures appear frequently, and reward much higher type points than other equivalent missions.
The chance of receiving an urgent mission depends on the amount of creatures defeated within the mission, and the size of the party does not affect the chance of receiving an urgent mission. Urgent missions may be obtained alone, but only when playing in multi mode. Furthermore, certain urgent missions may only appear after clearing a mission on a specific planet.
If the party receives an urgent mission, they will be notified by the black notification banner across the screen after the results screen of the mission they just cleared. The mission that appears may only be played on the same difficulty as the open mission that was cleared to receive it.

Types of urgent missions[edit | edit source]
Ragol[edit | edit source]
The first set of urgent missions are the Ragol urgent missions, which take place in the levels of episode 1 of Phantasy Star Online. These missions require the party to reach the end, similar to an open mission, and defeat the boss, either Orga Dyran or Dragon.
These urgent missions may appear after clearing an open mission on any planet.
SEED purification[edit | edit source]
SEED purification urgent missions task the party with removing SEED-cores across corrupted areas of Gurhal. Each member of the party will be assigned a Photon Eraser, which is obtained from the starting console before the mission, which is required to destroy the SEED-cores by firing at the egg-shaped objects around it, known as Zohma. Zohma are not initially visible, and must be discovered using the goggles in first-person view first. The Photon Eraser must be assigned to the action palette and equipped when it is to be used.
These urgent missions may appear after clearing an open mission, with the specific mission unlocked depending on the planet of the open mission cleared.
They are also the equivalent to the Operation Firebreak Missions from Phantasy Star Universe, while Frozen Flowers originally appeared during The Absolute Zero event In Phantasy Star Universe.
