Max Attack Cross III, commonly shortened to MAX3, is the third of the Max Attack Cross series, event missions that were previously featured on Phantasy Star Universe and Phantasy Star Portable 2. It features many unique items as clear rewards, and is a good mission for finding Darbelans.

Clear rank in this mission is determined by the amount of data chips that are found by the party, rather than traditional criteria. Data chips are hidden underneath objects that must be broken using first-person mode.

At the end of this mission, there are 2 different boss warps. The boss warp behind the fence will have the party fight Dark Falz followed by Dark Falz Final, and the boss warp in front of the fence will have the party fight 2 Delnadian and 3 Vivienne (regular) or SEED-Helga (rare variation) followed by Dark Falz Final. The boss warp that leads to Vivienne or SEED-Helga requires the party to have gathered all 4 data chips.

Chip locations

• Chip 1: Under the lamp next to Ilias in the first sector.
• Chip 2: Following the first chip, under the right-hand obelisk of the next set of two.
• Chip 3: In sector 2, under the obelisk behind the first card key.
• Chip 4: In sector 3, under the obelisk on the left part of the final room.
