Welcome to Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity!
This page serves as a guide to get you set up playing the game on a system of your choice, along with instructions on how to install various patches, install the downloadable content, setup multiplayer, and where to begin once you start playing the game.
Please note that currently, online multiplayer is not possible consistently from a PSP or PS Vita. You may still play on these systems, but if you wish to play online with others, you will be required to transfer your savefile to another system temporarily.
Extract all files from PSPo2 Infinity English v1.7z into a folder on your computer.
Extract all files from xdeltaUI.rar into a different folder on your computer.
Run xdeltaUI.exe. (from xdeltaUI.rar)
In the Apply Patch tab, click the first Open button and select the file PSPo2 Infinity English v1.xdelta. (This was extracted from PSPo2 Infinity English v1.7z)
Click the second Open button and select your ISO game file.
Click the ... button and choose where you would like the patched file to be saved.
Click Patch and allow the program to create the patched ISO. This may take a while depending on the power of your PC.
Now that you have created the patched ISO, you may play it on your system of choice.
PPSSPP Emulator - The best PSP emulator for Windows PC. (This link is V1.12.3, check for later versions here. We recommend the latest version always)
Extract all contents of ppsspp_win.zip to a folder of your choice.
(Optional) After extracting PPSSPP, it is recommended to create a "Games" folder in the same location, and place your PSP2i ISO in here.
Open PPSSPPWindows.exe or PPSSPPWindows64.exe. If you are unsure, it is most likely PPSSPPWindows64.exe.
Click the "Browse" button on the initial screen, then browse to your location of your PSP2i ISO.
Click the PSP2i icon and the game will boot.
It is recommended that you look through your game settings to set up the emulator to your preferences. You can do this by clicking "Game settings" → More settings... and working through the various settings. You will be able to tweak graphics, audio, controls and more!
All extra missions are found under the following categories:
Tactical Missions → Clad 6
Trade Missions
Challenge Missions
All downloadable missions will be indicated by a green DL sign on the right-hand side. The missions available will depend on whether you are in Story Mode or Multi Mode.
Downloadable Infinity Missions must be registered at the Code Counter before they can be played. The Code Counter is the terminal found at the rear of the player's ship.
To add them into the game:
Access the Code Counter
Select Register Code
Select Register DL Mission
Choose the download mission you wish to add. If the download mission has already been imported, it will be greyed out.
Choose Yes when asked to register the disc
The imported missions will now display under the Infinity Missions category at the Mission Counter.
Remember: All downloadable items will be untranslated!
The downloaded items must be imported into the game before they can be accessed. Please note that importing any items will lengthen the initial load times into the game significantly, but will be normal after you have loaded into Clad 6.
To import items:
On the title menu, choose Import
On the import menu, choose Import Downloaded Items
Choose which category of items you would like to import (it may take a while to read the information)
Choose Select Items to Import, and select which items you would like to import. They will be highlighted in purple when selected.
After choosing the items you wish to import, back out of the item list, then choose Importing and choose Yes to the following prompt. The items will be sent to your shared storage and the game will save.
Repeat steps 3-5 for any other item categories you wish to import.
Items may be imported as many times as you would like, so do not worry if you remove the items in-game later.
* There is various missing downloadable content in this package, that were given out through other means such as at physical conventions or other games. A list of known missing items may be found on the list of downloadable content page. If you have any of this content and would like to provide it, please get in touch!
Game patches
The Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity community has provided various enhancements and edits to improve the experience, ranging from 60 FPS patches, the ability to play online-only missions in ad hoc multiplayer, improved high-definition textures, and more. Note that many of these enhancements are done through cheat codes to modify the game's memory, however, none of these cheats will impact the game negatively. The wiki will never provide tools or codes to impact the gameplay directly.
Below you may find a compilation of the various patches that are compatible with each platform.
Cheat File for Windows PC - Contains all cheat file patches for Windows PC. Credit goes to JamRules for the codes listed in here.
Extract the memstick folder to your PPSSPP directory.
In PPSSPP, click Game settings, then Enable cheats.
Boot up PSP2i, click Emulation, then Pause.
Click Cheats, and a list of all the patches for the game will appear. Turn them on/off as desired. Note that any similar codes will conflict with each other!

HD Texture Replacements
Rozalin's HD Texture Replacements
User Rozalin is currently working on upscaling and replacing all the textures in Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity for an improved experience. This is a work in progress, so it is not fully complete.
Extract the memstick folder into your PPSSPP directory.
In PPSSPP, click Game settings → More settings... → Tools → Developer tools, then check Replace textures. Do not check Save new textures!
The HD textures will now be loaded in-game instead of the default ones.
Eleriaqueen's High-Res UI
User Eleriaqueen is currently working on improving the resolution of the UI elements in Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity for an improved experience. This is also a work in progress, so it is not fully complete.
You may find the latest release and instructions on how to install here. There are instructions listed depending on if you are using Rozalin's HD Texture Replacements mod or not.
