===Original PSP Font===
Depending on your method of PPSSPP installation, you will have to extract some of these folders to different locations.

* Zip install: You installed PPSSPP through extracting the files from a .zip. This will create a /memstick/ folder in your PPSSPP folder, which contains most files in the PSP folder inside of it.
PPSSPP renders with a custom font, called Roboto Condensed, rather than the original PSP fonts. This can make a lot of the text placement ingame seem strange, as all games (and the english patch) are designed with the original PSP font in mind.

Modifications refer to various patches, replacements or changes to Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity that aim to improve the gameplay experience. These modifications range from 60 FPS patches, texture replacements, the ability to play online-only missions in ad hoc multiplayer, and more.

Many of these patches are achieved through modifying the game's memory through cheat codes. None of these codes directly impact gameplay, and the Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity Wiki will never provide any actual cheat codes for the purpose of cheating.

Below you may find a compilation of the various patches that are compatible with each platform and how install them.

Windows PC[edit | edit source]

Depending on your method of PPSSPP installation, you will have to extract some of these folders to different locations.

  • Zip install: You installed PPSSPP through extracting the files from a .zip. This will create a /memstick/ folder in your PPSSPP folder, which contains most files in the PSP folder inside of it.
  • Installer: You installed PPSSPP using an installer. This will create a PPSSPP folder in your documents, which contains the PSP folder, which contains most files.
Original PSP Font

What you will need:

  1. Extract the assets folder to your PPSSPP executable's directory, regardless of installation method. Do not extract this to the PPSSPP folder in your documents.

PPSSPP renders with a custom font taken from your PC, rather than the original PSP fonts. This can make a lot of the text placement ingame seem strange, as all games (and the english patch) are designed with the original PSP font in mind.

This will restore the original font to the emulator, making all games display as intended.
Cheat File Patches

What you will need:

  • Cheat File for Windows PC - Contains all cheat file patches for Windows PC. Credit goes to JamRules for the codes listed in here.
  1. Install as below depending on your PPSSPP installation.
    1. Zip install: Extract the PSP folder to your memstick folder in your PPSSPP directory.
    2. Installer: Extract the PSP folder to your PPSSPP folder in your documents.
  2. In PPSSPP, click Game settings, then Enable cheats.
  3. Boot up PSP2i, click Emulation, then Pause.
  4. Click Cheats, and a list of all the patches for the game will appear. Turn them on/off as desired. Note that any similar codes will conflict with each other!
  5. If using the 60 FPS patch, make sure that the refresh rate on the cheats page is set to 60, or the pacing of the game will be incorrect.

List of Cheat File Patches

  • Spoof Online-Multi - Grants the ability to play online-only missions in ad hoc multiplayer. (This is on by default)
  • 60 FPS Patch - Forces the game to render at 60 FPS. There are various issues with the patch, which are documented here.
  • Disable V-Blank Wait For 60 FPS - Helps curb an issue with frame drops in multiplayer with the 60 FPS Patch. This may cause issues, so is not on by default.
  • Right Analog Camera Support - Grants access to manipulate the camera with the right analog stick, with analog movement. 1x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, and 4x speeds are available. Only use one at a time!

You can fix this by downloading this archive, then extracting the contents to your PPSSPP directory.

  3. Boot up PSP2i, then pause the emulation.
  4. Tap Cheats, and a list of all the patches for the game will appear.

  • Right Analog Camera Support - Grants access to manipulate the camera with the right analog stick, with analog movement. 1x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, and 4x speeds are available. Only use one at a time!
  • Camera Vertical Movement Release - Grants the ability to move the camera fully up or down, instead of being limited.
  • Custom Ratios - Expands the game to render at the chosen. Certain elements, such as the HUD, will be stretched however. To enable this, go to the PPSSPP home screen, tap Display layout & effects, then tick Stretch, then restart PPSSPP. Only use one code at a time!
  • Twin Heaven Punisher - Codes to allow the user to pick which behaviour for the weapon Twin Heaven Punisher they would like to use, instead of waiting for a specific real-time. Only use one at a time!

  • Mission Hang Hotfix - Fixes a potential crashing issue in Infinity Missions. (Only turn this on if using V1 of the English Patch)

Steam Deck[edit | edit source]

Original PSP Font

What you will need:

  1. Extract the contents of the above directory to your Steam Deck's home folder.

PPSSPP renders with a custom font taken from your system, rather than the original PSP fonts. This can make a lot of the text placement ingame seem strange, as all games (and the english patch) are designed with the original PSP font in mind.

This will restore the original font to the emulator, making all games display as intended.
Cheat File Patches

What you will need:

  • Cheat File for Steam Deck - Contains all cheat file patches for Steam Deck. Credit goes to JamRules for the codes listed in here.
  1. Extract the above archive in your Steam Deck's home folder.
  2. In PPSSPP on the home screen, click Settings, then Tools, then Enable cheats.
  3. Boot up PSP2i, and pause the emulator (Esc is a usual bind for this).
