Handguns are left-handed ranged weapons with a fast attack speed that can be paired with a melee weapon for extra ACC or easier time building chain from afar. They are very simple, and have a powerful Charge Shot that functions similarly to rifles.

Handguns also possess a unique charge shot that allows players to heal themselves or other players.

Handguns are available from the beginning of the game, with all Rangers starting with one, and easily accessible from the Weapon Shop.

Charge Shot[edit | edit source]

Bullet modifiers and weapon PA% and PP% modifiers do not modify the charge shot in any way, except reduced or extra range from bullets.

Any values in parantheses () refer to modifiers from the Full Charge Shot ability.

Charge Shot I[edit | edit source]

A shot is fired directly at the target, and explodes on impact. The bullet only hits 1 target, but the explosion hits up to 3 (including the original target) for a total of 2 hits.

Charge Shot II[edit | edit source]

A laser is fired straight ahead of the user, which pierces creatures or other players. If the attack hits a creature, the user will be healed, and if the attack hits another player, the other player will be healed.

This Charge Shot does no damage.

The amount healed by the shot is dependent on the user's effective ranged attack, and is increased by 40% in the case of a full charge shot. The exact formula is as follows, with the 1.4 multiplication only applying if full charge shot is used:

Bullets only affect normal attacks, charge shots are only affected by the range modifier of bullets.

Certain weapons have their special decided by their attribute rather than a fixed special. There are three different patterns that is based on the weapon itself.
