Technics are all based on an [[attribute]], so it is not possible for a Technic attack to be {{Neutral}} neutral, and each Technic will only deal a specific attribute, regardless of the attribute attached to the weapon. The weapon attribute will only be considered if it matches the attribute of the Technic, and the [[creature]] either matches or is the opposite attribute. (e.g. Using {{Lightning}} [[Zonde]] with a {{Lightning}} lightning rod, against a {{Earth}} [[Nava Ludda]].)

If bound to rods or wands, Technics can be used in a 3-step combo similar to skills, with each subsequent attack reducing PP costs and charge time. The combo can be done with either button in any order, so the combo can be done with {{Square}} → {{Square}} → {{Square}}, {{Triangle}} → {{Triangle}} → {{Triangle}}, or even {{Square}} → {{Triangle}} → {{Triangle}}, among others.
