Tech-Mags are left-handed Technic weapons with the fastest casting speed of all Technic weapons, but the lowest TEC. They do not have the ability to combo, but can still cast Technics on quickly with strafe cancelling. They generally have lower PP costs than their stronger counterparts, making them a good pick for utility Technics.

Tech-mags a popular choice of weapon to pair with various melee weapons, as being able to build chain with Technics such as Sazonde and Sabarta while holding certain melee weapons helps improve thei effectiveness, as they are unable to build chain well themselves.

Tech-mags are available from the beginning of the game, with all Forces starting with one, and easily accessible from the Weapon Shop.
