[[File:crossbow1.gif|link=]] '''Crossbows''' are left-handed ranged [[weapons]] that function similarly to [[shotguns]], but can be paired with other weapons and also have access to strafe shooting. They fire slightly slower than [[handguns]], so can build chain relatively well without assistance from other weapons or [[Technics]]. Similarly to shotguns, the shots may also stack on the same [[creatures|creature]] for extra damage.

Crossbows fire 2 or 3 shots with its {{Square}} attack depending on the [[Photon Arts|Photon Art]] linked; if using no bullets or [[Yak Zakkenga]], the crossbow will fire 2 shots, otherwise it will fire 3.

Crossbows are only available commonly at A-Rank, as all crossbows below A-Rank are [[Kubara]] replicas, rare drops, or [[downloadable content]].

==Charge Shot==

Bullet modifiers and weapon PA% and PP% modifiers do not modify the charge shot in any way, except reduced or extra range from bullets.
