Gurhal Heroes is a tactical mission that is part of the game's downloadable content. It is a unique mission that starts off in Raffon Meadow, and then asks the party to choose what areas they wish to tackle at the end of each area, with creatures progressively increasing in level with each area change.

The party's performance is gauged throughout the mission with a score counter, which increases when creatures are defeated, boxes are broken, and environmental objects are destroyed. Certain gimmicks also exist, such as lucky creatures with red auras that grant extra points, but will despawn after a short amount of time, and fever creatures with white auras that increase score multipliers when defeated.

Certain gimmicks also exist, such as lucky creatures with red auras that grant extra points, but will despawn after a short amount of time, and fever creatures with white auras that increase score multipliers when defeated.

Gurhal Heroes is available in both story mode and multi mode, however different difficulties are available:
* Story mode: Cdiff with LV50-100 creatures and Idiff with LV200-250 creatures.
* Multi mode: Adiff with LV100-150 creatures and Idiff with LV200-250 creatures.
Gurhal Heroes is a popular mission for players of all levels, as it features +100% experience rate, high type point rewards, and +100% drop rate, along with giving players access to some of the strongest weapons and shield-weaves in the game.
Score
During Gurhal Heroes, the party is tasked with obtaining as high a score as possible out of 100,000 by using the various gimmicks available to them. Score is earned when the following occurs:
* A group of creatures are defeated
* Boxes are destroyed
* Environmental objects are destroyed or interacted with
During every stage, there are also various lucky monsters, which are monsters with a red aura of power and grant more score than usual sources. These creatures will automatically be defeated after a set period of time - if the creatures are not defeated by the player prior to this, no score will be gained.
Score gain may also be multiplied by defeating fever monsters, which are creatures which have a white aura of power. Defeating a group of fever monsters will increase the score multiplier by +1x for the remainder of the stage.
At the beginning of stage 4, the score multiplier will also be increased by +1x for 3 minutes, allowing a maximum score multiplier of 3x.
Lastly, a speed bonus of up to 1,000 points may be earned by clearing the mission within a certain amount of time.
Score by stage
Each set of stages has a certain amount of score available to be earned from them, by defeating creatures and destroying boxes and environmental objects in a certain order. For the maximum amount of score, fever monsters must be defeated as soon as possible, while leaving as many creatures and environmental objects intact so that extra score may be gained from the score multiplier.
* Stage 1: 15,000
* Stage 2: 19,000 (34,000 total)
* Stage 3: 23,000 (57,000 total)
* Stage 4: 32,100 (89,100 total)
* Boss: 9,900 (99,000 total)
* Speed bonus: 1,000 (100,000 total)
Story cutscenes
In story mode, extra cutscenes can be triggered if the appropriate NPCs are brought with the player, depending on the route chosen.
* VR: The Dark - Ethan, Hyuga, and Karen
* VR: The Dark - Vivienne
* VR: Castle - Emilia, Lumia, and Yut
* VR: Ark - Nagisa
They will occur after defeating the final boss.
