Shield-weaves can have from 2 to 4 slots for modules, dependent on its rank. Modules can only be equipped to Shield-weaves that has a rank higher or equal to the rank of the module. A module can be equipped to multiple shield-weaves at once, and each shield-weave can equip multiple modules of the same name. Each shield-weave also has its own module configurations, which allows a player to swap between different sets of abilities by equipping each shield-weave with different modules.

Modules are pieces of equipment which can be linked to shield-weaves to gain their effects. Modules may only be linked to a shield-weave that has the same or higher rank. For example, a module with rank may only be equipped onto shield-weaves of rank or .
