Welcome to Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity!

Please note that currently, online multiplayer is not possible consistently from a PSP or PS Vita. You may still play on these systems, but if you wish to play online with others, you will be required to transfer your savefile to another system temporarily.

First, procure a copy of the game in ISO format.

The Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity Wiki will not be providing an ISO of the game for you, you will be required to provide it yourself.

Downloadable content

See also: List of downloadable content

Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity features official downloadable content that was released after the game's official release. These include:

  • Extra missions with unique objectives and rewards
  • Extra Infinity Missions with maps and bosses not obtainable through regular mission disks
  • Equipment from PlayStation Network, with various weapons, visual modules, costumes/parts, and room decorations, both free and paid.

Please note that the downloadable content from PlayStation Network is untranslated and will appear in-game as Japanese, even with the English Patch.

Installation

What you will need:

  • All downloadable content* - All downloadable content in a neat package. Includes the translated content provided by JamRules and Weyu.
1. Extract the PSP folder in the PSP2i DLC.7z archive to the following locations depending on your platform:
PSP: Root directory (e.g. D:/ or E:/ when your PSP is connected to your PC)
PS Vita: ux0:/pspemu/
Windows PC: /memstick/ inside your PPSSPP directory.
2. You may be asked if you would like to overwrite files. Click Yes if so.

All downloadable content* is now installed. Follow the directions below to access it in-game.

Missions

All extra missions are found under the following categories:

  • Tactical Missions → Clad 6
  • Trade Missions
  • Challenge Missions

All downloadable missions will be indicated by a green DL sign on the right-hand side. The missions available will depend on whether you are in Story Mode or Multi Mode.

Infinity Missions

Downloadable Infinity Missions must be registered at the Code Counter before they can be played. The Code Counter is the terminal found at the rear of the player's ship.

To add them into the game:

  1. Access the Code Counter
  2. Select Register Code
  3. Select Register DL Mission
  4. Choose the download mission you wish to add. If the download mission has already been imported, it will be greyed out.
  5. Choose Yes when asked to register the disc

The imported missions will now display under the Infinity Missions category at the Mission Counter.

Items

Remember: All downloadable items will be untranslated!

The downloaded items must be imported into the game before they can be accessed. Please note that importing any items will lengthen the initial load times into the game significantly, but will be normal after you have loaded into Clad 6.

To import items:

  1. On the title menu, choose Import
  2. On the import menu, choose Import Downloaded Items
  3. Choose which category of items you would like to import (it may take a while to read the information)
  4. Choose Select Items to Import, and select which items you would like to import. They will be highlighted in purple when selected.
  5. After choosing the items you wish to import, back out of the item list, then choose Importing and choose Yes to the following prompt. The items will be sent to your shared storage and the game will save.
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 for any other item categories you wish to import.

Items may be imported as many times as you would like, so do not worry if you remove the items in-game later.

* There is various missing downloadable content in this package, that were given out through other means such as at physical conventions or other games. A list of known missing items may be found on the list of downloadable content page. If you have any of this content and would like to provide it, please get in touch!

Game patches

The Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity community has provided various enhancements and edits to improve the experience, ranging from 60 FPS patches, the ability to play online-only missions in ad hoc multiplayer, improved high-definition textures, and more. Note that many of these enhancements are done through cheat codes to modify the game's memory, however, none of these cheats will impact the game negatively. The wiki will never provide tools or codes to impact the gameplay directly.

Below you may find a compilation of the various patches that are compatible with each platform.
