'''Abilities''' are special perks that can be equipped by the player, granting various bonuses such as extra [[damage]], extra [[stats]], protection from [[status effects]], increased [[Technic]] casting speed, and various other benefits. They are obtained by levelling [[Types]], with each Type earning different abilities as they gain levels.

Abilities are not locked to the Type that earns them; almost all abilities can be used on every Type, giving players who level all of their Types extra options over those who focus on one Type only.

Abilities can be equipped and unequipped at will at the [[Type Counter]] in the [[Battle Shop]], giving players the ability to use all sorts of different builds without being locked into one playstyle. A limited amount of abilities can be equipped at once however, limited by the player's ability slots.

==Ability slots==
A player's ability slots determines how many abilities they can equip at any one time. A player will start with 4 ability slots, being able to increase this to 12 ability slots by levelling up their Types and [[Rebirth|rebirthing]] their character.

1 ability slot will be gained for every 5 type levels, up to level 20, and 4 ability slots are gained upon a character's first Rebirth. Below is a table showing how many ability slots a player will have given their Type level.
